Meet Dr. Lee

Dr. Steven S. Lee is a specialist in all aspects of restorative procedures. His focus as a dentist is to restore teeth and oral health and restores his patient’s hope. He is the Long Island Full Mouth Rehabilitation to Cosmetic Dentistry dentist and attending dentist affiliated with Long Island Jewish Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital.

As a trained prosthodontist, Dr. Lee is proficient in all aspects of restorative procedures utilizing natural restorations, such as crowns, bridges, veneers, implant supported prosthesis and removable dentures.

Prosthodontics is a dental science specializing in teeth replacement. It offers several exciting new options that can be chosen to restore and even improve the natural beauty and function of your smile and teeth.

As a certified implantologist, Dr. Lee is trained for surgical and prosthetic dental implantology such as implant placement, sinus grafting, guided bone regeneration, soft tissue grafting, implant supported abutments and crowns, screw and cement retained prosthesis; and aftercare.

Practicing since 2002, Dr. Lee earned his 4-year doctorate degree in dental surgery from the New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD) followed by the completion of a 3-year Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics. Recognized by the American Dental Association as one of the most respected programs worldwide, NYUCD’s Prosthodontic Program afforded Dr. Lee intensive training along side researchers and nationally recognized clinicians.  He has completed successfully an implant surgery fellowship at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in the New York Presbyterian/ Columbia University.

Prior to pursuing dentistry, Dr. Steven S. Lee distinguished himself as a freelance artist and landscape architect having received a BA/BS degree from Pennsylvania State University. His work has been cited for academic and creative achievement as well as in design competition. Take a look at his Artwork.

Dr. Lee’s dual understanding of beauty, function and balance—brought by his artistic training and keen dental clinical skills—allow him to uniquely provide patients a broader range of diagnostic insight, offer more diverse solutions to oral health problems and ultimately deliver smiles with more pristine aesthetics and superior function.

A former clinical and pre-clinical faculty member at the NYU College of Dentistry, Dr. Lee is currently a member of the American Dental AssociationNew York State Dental AssociationNassau County Dental SocietyAmerican College of Prosthodontics, and Occlusal Concepts Study Group of New York.


Meet Dr. Mayer

Dr. Mayer graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Buffalo in 1997. He continued with his education and completed the accredited Advanced Specialty Education Program in Periodontics at the University of Maryland Dental School.

Published in the Journal of Periodontology for his dental implant research, Dr. Mayer has also been involved in other research regarding the microbiological basis for oral diseases. He keeps abreast of the latest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease including the link between periodontitis and systematic diseases.

Dr. Mayer practices the full scope of periodontics and implant dentistry. He is an expert in periodontal plastic surgery such as grafts for gum recession and root exposure. Dr. Mayer has a gentle touch and a very calming manner. Patient comfort is his top priority.


Meet Deborah Ann Williams CDA, RDA

Deborah

Deborah has been in the dental assistant field for over 15 years. As a certified dental assistant, she has been working in all phases of dentistry. Her main focus is making patients comfortable and at ease in the dental chair. She specialized in teeth whitening for over 5 years which she loves to help the patients have a brighter smile.

Deborah is also a dental assistant instructor in which she teaches the next generation of dental assistant at professional level. She is married to a wonderful husband and enjoys traveling.
